The flagship Avalon is the most luxurious and spacious Toyota offered. Larger proportions and a more powerful engine set the Avalon apart from the mid-sized Camry. Avalon is offered in XL, Touring, XLS, and Limited trim levels each with a healthy list of standard equipment. All models are powered by a 280 hp 3.5L V6 coupled to a 5-speed automatic transmission. This is sufficient performance to guide the Avalon from 0-60 in a claimed 6.6 seconds. Optional features befitting a flagship product include power-operated and ventilated seats, reclining rear seats, laser-guided cruise control, and keyless operation. With restrained but classy styling, a large interior, and a dose of Lexus luxury and refinement, the Avalon now belongs at the top of Toyotas lineup.

What Changed:

All-new Avalon is larger and more powerful than the model it replaces. Avalon has grown by 4 inches in wheelbase and 1 inch in width. The all-new 280hp 3.5L V6 produces 70hp than the previous generation's 3.0L V6. Avalon retains its front wheel drive layout and a 5-speed automatic is the only available transmission.Avalon is offered in 4 trim levels and offers a significant increase in luxury features over the model it replaces.
