What Changed

Infiniti enters the Sport Utility market in 1997 with a Pathfinder based vehicle, the QX4. The QX4 is powered by a SOHC 12-valve V6 producing 168hp and 196ft-lbs of torque. The wheels are driven by a feature Infiniti calls All-Mode 4WD. An electronically controlled 4WD system, All-mode allows the vehicle to be operated in an automatic mode where the sensors determine front/rear torque split.
