As the successor to the long-running Meadow Brook Concours, the Concours d'Elegance of America provides a more expansive venue for a classic car exhibition. Notable entrants for the 2012 event were a diverse selection of American station wagons from the 1950s and 60s. The usual examples of vintage Packards, Cadillacs, Lincolns, and Duesenbergs were joined by Delahayes, Bugattis and Rolls-Royces. Among the more recent entrants were a Maserati Ghibli, a Ferrari California Spider, and couple of Aston Martins. A lineup of race cars included rail dragsters, along with sports racers from Jaguar, and a few Alfa Romeos and Corvettes. Only in its second year, the Concours d'Elegance of America seems destined to become a premier event of the highest caliber.
