In a tribute to the domestic auto manufacturers current and past, the 2009 Meadow Brook Concours displayed a comprehensive range of American cars. Exquisite examples from Hudson, Packard, Ford, and Cadillac were everywhere. Rare Duesenbergs, Cords, and Pierce Arrows reminded us of the many marques that disappeared in the first half of the twentieth century. A few Ferraris, Fiats, and Delahayes were sprinkled throughout the field for added variety, but a collection of vintage Rolls-Royces grabbed the crowd's attention. As before, the Meadow Brook Concours continues to be a fascinating showcase of automotive history.
