For 2023, all Maxima grades adopt Nissan's new brand logo inside and out, and Maxima Platinum adds semi-aniline leather-appointed seating surfaces and illuminated kick plates.

The 2023 Nissan Maxima is on sale now with a choice of SV, SR and Platinum grades, with a starting Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price (MSRP)3 of $38,140. (See full pricing details for all 2023 Maxima grades.)

Engineered for engagement

Maxima features standard 3.5-liter V6 engine, rated at 300 horsepower and 261 lb-ft of torque, paired with an Xtronic transmission. A Drive Mode Selector allows for toggling between Normal and Sport modes. Fuel economy is rated up to 20 mpg city, 30 mpg highway and 24 mpg combined4.

Maxima SR builds on the sedan's already sporty personality with sport-tuned suspension, a larger rear stabilizer bar, paddle shifters, gloss black 19-inch wheels, aluminum sport pedals, a rear spoiler and an Active Sound Enhancement system that further enhances the engine's sound in the cabin.

Extensive range of technology

Every Maxima features standard Nissan Safety Shield(R) 3601, which includes Automatic Emergency Braking with Pedestrian Detection, Blind Spot Warning, Rear Cross Traffic Alert, Lane Departure Warning, High Beam Assist and Rear Automatic Braking. Additional standard driver assistance technologies include Intelligent Cruise Control, Traffic Sign Recognition and Intelligent Driver Alertness. Class-exclusive Intelligent Around View(R) Monitor5 (standard on SR and Platinum) provides a 360-degree camera view around the car for assistance when parking6.

Standard NissanConnect(R) with an 8-inch color display features Apple CarPlay(R) and Android Auto(TM), two front USB ports (one Type A, one Type C), Nissan Door to Door navigation and NissanConnect(R) Services, which includes a Wi-Fi hotspot and the ability to control select vehicle functions via compatible smartphone or smartwatch app. A rotary dial, called Display Commander, on the center console allows for convenient fingertip control of infotainment functions, supplementing the multi-touch display.

Maxima additionally features a 7-inch Advanced Drive Assist Display in the instrument cluster and a standard 8-speaker audio system, and a Bose(R) 11-speaker audio system included on the SR and Platinum grades.

Striking design

Maxima has strong visual presence with a sleek and sculpted shape. Blacked-out pillars give it a floating roof effect, while the deep V-motion front grille, deep front fascia and standard LED headlights and daytime running lights create an enticing first impression. Maxima SV wears standard 18-inch wheels, while SR has gloss black 19-inch wheels and Platinum has 19-inch machined-alloy wheels.

Maxima's interior also packs a visual punch with sporty touches like a D-shaped, flat-bottom steering wheel, satin chrome trim and contrast stitching on the dashboard, doors, console, seats and steering wheel. Maxima SR and SV feature ambient interior lighting and a premium Ascot leather-wrapped steering wheel (with Alcantara insert on SR). Maxima SR's interior is further enhanced with a charcoal headliner and Satin Dark Chrome trim. The Platinum grade has semi-aniline leather-appointed seats with diamond-quilted leather inserts and Satin Birdseye Maple Wood-toned trim.
