August 8 was reserved for the Meadow Brook Concours d'Elegance, which commemorated the 100th anniversary of Rolls-Royce. Immaculate examples of classic Roll-Royces, Packards, Duesenbergs, Pierce-Arrows, and other premier automobile manufacturers were in abundance at Meadow Brook this year. A unique collection of significant cars from the 1920's to the 1940's highlighted the truly diverse automobile universe in the first half of the 20th century, and demonstrated why Meadow Brook is one of the finest Concours in the US.
