The biennial Frankfurt Motor Show (IAA) is the place for any regional or global automobile manufacturer to make a splash. As a result, a non-stop flurry of press conferences and vehicle unveilings are part of the buzz of activity at Frankfurt. Unlike other major auto shows such as Geneva or Detroit, Frankfurt is so busy that the manufacturers overlap or hold concurrent press conferences. Major unveilings included the new Mercedes-Benz S-Class, European Honda Civic, BMW Z4 Coupe, VW Eos Cabriolet, Toyota RAV4 and Yaris, Nissan Note, Jaguar XK Coupe, and many others. Major automotive suppliers also had displays that demonstrated their capabilities. The Frankfurt Motor Show is unmatched as a showcase of the global scope of the automotive industry.
