What Changed

The second generation GL-Class joins the Mercedes lineup for the 2013 model year. The 2013 model wears modestly updated styling and matches nearly every dimension of the outgoing model. The GL retains the same three model designations, but power increases for all three powertrains. The GL350 BlueTEC equips a 3.0l diesel V6 rated at 240-bhp (+30). The GL450 and GL550 both equip a 4.7l V8 engine rated at 362-bhp (+27) in the GL450 and 429-bhp (+47) in the GL550. All-wheel-drive and a seven speed automatic are standard on all three models.
