The Lexus lineup includes two dedicated hybrid models. The larger HS is similar in size to the Toyota Prius, but executed as a more traditional looking luxury sedan. The HS hybrid system pairs a larger displacement four-cylinder engine with electric drive motors yielding a net horsepower rating of 187-bhp. The HS is rated by the EPA at 35 / 34 (city/highway), which is significantly lower than other hybrid models from Lexus and Toyota.
