Overview Information
With a starting price of around $10k, the Accent hatchback is Hyundai's entry-level model. With a 110 hp, 1.6L four-cylinder engine, the small 3-door hatchback boasts its fuel economy. With such a low starting price, options add up quickly. A preferred option package adds power windows, air conditioning and other nice features but boosts the MSRP over $14k with an automatic. The SE model makes a more compelling upgrade offering alloy wheels, V-rated tires and standard power equipment for around $16k.

For the 2011 model year, the fun-to-drive Accent SE with 16-inch alloy wheels is now more affordable. By removing the sunroof from the SE, Hyundai was able to reduce the SE manual transmission price by $850 for an MSRP of $15,345 before destination. The Accent GS gets a 172-watt AM/FM/XM(R)/CD/MP3 audio system with six speakers and iPod(R)/USB and MP3 auxiliary inputs as standard equipment due to consumer demand.
