The new Lancer is a stylish compact sedan from Mitsubishi

Overview Information

Mitsubishi finally revamped the innocuous and boring Lancer with a striking replacement. A new 152-bhp 2.0L inline-4 is mated to a choice of a 5-speed manual or optional CVT. The sporty GTS will appeal to enthusiasts, with its upgraded 2.4L engine, 18-inch wheels, front air dam, rear spoiler, sport suspension, and bigger disc brakes. An optional 650-watt (max.) Rockford Fosgate audio system includes nine speakers and a subwoofer.

What Changed:

The Lancer Ralliart model returns for the 2009 model year. Bridging the gap from the base Lancers to the Lancer Evolution, the Ralliart now features Mitsubishi's twin-clutch SST gearbox, full-time 4WD and limited slip differentials. Power is provided by a 2.0L turbocharged four-cylinder engine rated at 235-bhp. Ralliart models wear distinctively styled front and rear bumper and a ducted aluminum hood. GTS models receive a new 2.4L four-cylinder and distinct instruments.
