Mazda offers a collection of vehicles that are generally more fun to drive than their competition. The MX-5 (Miata) is a benchmark vehicle for driving enjoyment, and the sporty Mazda3 continues to be one of the best choices in the compact car segment. The award-winning CX-9 crossover is a compelling choice in an increasingly crowded field.
The Mazda6 is all new for 2009. The first generation Mazda6 was a world car, but its successor has been tailor made for American tastes. The aggressively styled Mazda6 is bigger than its predecessor, and has a more spacious interior for more occupant comfort. The new model features more powerful 2.5L four-cylinder or 3.7L six-cylinder engines, mated to a choice of a 6-speed manual, or a 5-speed or 6-speed automatic transmission. .
The iconic RX-8 gets some attention this year with some mildly revised front and rear styling. A new R3 sport package features a sport-tuned suspension and distinct body kit.
Next for Mazda is a reworked version of its successful Mazda3 compact.
