    The new mid-sized Borrego is a body-on-frame SUV with V6 and optional V8 power capable of towing up to 7500 pounds. The 4.6L V8 is the first V8 for Kia. Three rows of seats accommodate up to seven passengers.

  • 2009 Kia Optima

    The 2009 Optima wears updated front and rear styling. The overall length is about 2 inches longer. A new 2.4-liter four cylinder engine produces 175-bhp an increase of 13-bhp. The output of the 2.7L V6 increases to 190-bhp. On the inside, the Optima features modest updates to the instrumentation and center console materials. A new SX sport model adds a sport-tuned suspension, fog lights and 17-inch wheels.

Kia has rapidly assembled a lineup of appealing, high value cars and SUVs. Most contain higher levels of equipment than their competition, and all feature a long warranty.

A new body-on-frame SUV joins the Kia lineup this year. The mid-sized Borrego offers three rows of seating, and Kia's first production V-8. The capable Borrego can tow up to 7,500 pounds when properly equipped.

The Kia Optima benefits from styling and powertrain upgrades for 2009. Both the four-cylinder and V-6 engines have increased power output.

Next up for Kia will be a production version of the Soul concept car.
