The Liberty is a competent midsize SUV for Jeep lovers.
Overview Information
Although the Liberty replaced the hugely popular Cherokee, it never met with the same enthusiasm as its chunky predecessor. The second generation looks to rectify that with larger proportions and blockier styling. The standard 3.7L V-6 is mated to a 4-speed automatic. A choice of axle ratios and part-time and full-time 4WD systems allow buyers to customize the Liberty to their needs.
What Changed:
The 2009 Liberty features a revised suspension with retuned springs, shocks, roll-bars and stiffer rear axles. A revised brake system aims to improve brake pedal feel.
