Overview Information

The midsize Canyon is an attractive pickup, but lacks the power to keep up with the segment leaders. A choice of a 185-bhp 2.9L I-4, or a 242-bhp 3.7L I-5, is available with a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic. Both engines are available with 2WD or 4WD. A locking differential and traction control help the 2WD Canyon cope with slippery roads. Cab styles include Regular, Extended, and Crew Cabs. Buyers looking for better handling should get the Canyon with the lowered ZQ8 sport suspension. Properly equipped, the Canyon can tow up to 4,000 lbs.

What Changed:

The Canyon receives an improved braking system for 2009. Anti-lock brakes and stability control are now standard on all models.

The new 5.3L V-8 is available on extended cab and crew cab models. It...Read.
