The first Focus coupe model caters to American preferences
Overview Information
As one of the best-selling cars in its lineup, the recently restyled Ford Focus coupe gets additional updates for 2009. The range-topping Focus SES model gets standard equipment such as 17-inch alloy wheels, roof spoiler, and sport exhaust; electronic stability control (ESC) is optional. The 2.0L inline-4 now cranks out 143-bhp (5-speed manual) or 140-bhp (4-speed automatic). EPA highway fuel economy is 35 MPG with the manual transmission.
What Changed:
The Focus coupe receives some minor enhancements to help distinguish it from the sedan. The '09 Focus feature new front and rear fascias. A slight bump in horsepower on manual transmission models and a new final drive ratio ensure improved acceleration. SES models feature standard 17-inch wheels and a spoiler at the top of the rear window.
