Overview Information

The Dodge Ram started the "semi-truck" styling trend that is so popular with image-conscious customers. Although the latest Ram remains broad-shouldered and angular, its appeal seems limited to consumers looking primarily for style and power, as opposed to the tradesmen who seem to prefer Ford and GM. The Ram 1500 line offers in three cab styles including a full-sized crew cab. Three bed lengths and five overall trim levels ensure that there is a Ram for all tastes.

What Changed:

The 2009 Dodge Ram features all-new styling inside and out. The Ram retains the trademark grille but the overall look is more refined. An all-new interior has improved in sophistication and styling. The Ram 1500 line offers in three cab styles including a new full-sized crew cab. Three bed lengths and five overall trim levels ensure that there is a Ram for all tastes. A new rear suspension features a solid axle with coil springs in lieu of the leaf springs on other trucks. Three engine options include a 3.7L V6, 4.7L V8, and a 5.7L V8. The output of the 5.7L V8 has increased to 380-bhp and 404 lb-ft. of torque.
