The Tacoma Double Cab is the latest model to join the expanding Tacoma lineup. Available in short bed and long bed variants, the Double Cab is powered by a 236-bhp 4.0L V-6 and 5-speed automatic, or 6-speed manual (short bed 4WD). The cargo bed inner liner is made of SMC plastic to minimize corrosion. A 2WD Pre-Runner variant is a lower cost option for customers who don't need 4WD. With a maximum payload of 1,550 lbs. and up to 11,100 lbs. towing capability, the Tacoma meets the requirements of many pickup buyers. Available options such as the TRD Off-Road Package (Bilstein(R) shocks, skid plates, limited-slip differential, 16-inch alloy wheels), TRD Sport Package (Bilstein(R) shocks, limited-slip differential, 17-inch alloy wheels, fog lamps), and Towing Package (Class-4 towing hitch, automatic transmission oil cooler, engine oil cooler, heavy-duty battery), allow buyers to customize the Double Cab according to their needs
