What Changed in 2008 for Nissan

  • 2008 Nissan Altima Coupe

    2008 Nissan Altima Coupe

All-new coupe version of the Altima sedan. Nissan shortened the wheelbase 4" to 105.3" vs. the sedan. Overall length is reduced to 182.5" (coupe) vs. 189.8" (sedan). Width remains the same at 70.7", but the coupe measures only 55.3" high vs. 57.9" (sedan). The Altima Coupe shares no common body panels with its sedan counterpart, except for the hood. The Altima coupe offers a standard 175-bhp 2.5L inline-4, or an optional 270-bhp 3.5L V-6. Transmission choices include a 6-speed manual or available Xtronic CVT(TM) automatic.

  • 2008 Nissan Rogue

The Rogue is an all-new compact sport utility model based on Nissan's C platform (Sentra). The Rogue features a 2.5L four-cylinder engine rated at 170 hp, 175 lb-ft of torque. A CVT transmission is standard. Both FWD and AWD versions are offered. Rogue features a fully-independent suspension.

  • 2008 Nissan Armada

2008 Armada features revised front and rear fascias, a new luggage rack and numerous option and trim level changes.

  • 2008 Nissan Pathfinder

The Pathfinder lineup gets a V8-powered model for 2008. A 5.6L V8 rated at 310hp is available in SE and LE trim levels. The front and rear styling is updated.

Nissan is a full-line automaker offering cars and trucks in virtually every segment of the market. Nissan is entering two new segments in 2008 with the introduction of the Rogue compact SUV, and the Altima mid-sized coupe.

The compact SUV segment is a tough segment, with well-established top-sellers like the Toyota RAV4 and Honda CR-V. Nissan's first entry in this segment needed to be a good product and it is. The all-new Rogue wears handsome styling inside and out. Nissan markets the Rogue for its car-like agility. A 2.5L four-cylinder engine rated at 170-bhp, 175 lb-ft of torque, powers all models. A CVT transmission is standard on both FWD and AWD models.

The rest of Nissan's SUV line sees minor changes. The Armada wears updated styling, and the Nissan Pathfinder now offers a V8.

For those who thought the Altima wasn't sporty enough, Nissan now offers a stylish two-door coupe version. Equipment and powertrain choices mirror those in the sedan. The Altima coupe will do battle with a surprisingly sporty new Accord.
