The best-selling Accord is bigger than ever

Overview Information

Honda completely redesigned the Accord, making it bigger and more powerful in the process. By EPA interior volume standards, the Accord is now in the full size category, and larger in most dimensions than its main competitors, the Camry and Altima. Accord EX/EX-L models equipped with the 2.4L inline-4 are tuned for slightly more power than the base LX/LX-P models. The 4-cylinder is available with a 5-speed manual or automatic, while the 3.5L V-6 is coupled to the automatic only. Honda added VCM® variable displacement technology to the V-6 for improved fuel economy. Both engines meet ULEV-2/PZEV standards, depending on configuration. All Accords are equipped with VSA® stability control. An optional 270-watt audio system with subwoofer is available on EX-L models. The optional navigation system also includes Bluetooth® hands-free technology.

What Changed:

The legendary Honda Accord is all-new for 2008. The 2008 Accord has grown significantly in size and wears more aggressive styling than last year's model. The new Accord is three inches longer, 1 inch wider and almost 1 inch taller, which results in a car that is almost 5 inches longer than the Toyota Camry. Power output is up significantly in both four-cylinder and six-cylinder models.
