Chrysler's best-selling minivan gets a complete redesign

Overview Information

Chrysler methodically improved their popular minivans to ensure that they remain competitive with the Honda and Toyota competition. A wide variety of V-6 engines are available, including a 3.3L, 3.8L, and a new 4.0L. A new 6-speed automatic is standard with the 3.8L and 4.0L engines. The base 3.3L is mated to a 4-speed automatic. Three seating systems are offered in the product line. LX models have only a third row seat that folds in to the floor. Touring and Limited models also have a 2nd row seat that folds flat in to the floor. An option on these models foregoes the fold-flat in the floor 2nd row for one that can swivel 180 degrees to face the rear. A removable table that fits in the 2nd row is available. The optional dual DVD system can play different movies on each screen. Other enhancements include a sliding center console, LED reading lamps, ambient LED lighting, and stain resistance seat fabric.

What Changed:

All new model for 2008. The Town & Country will be offered with three V6 powertrains, 3 interior configurations, and 3 trim levels (LX, Touring, Limited). A new optional seating configuration dubbed Swivel-N-Go offer two captain chairs that can rotate to be rear facing sharing an optional table with the rear most passengers.
