This upscale cousin of the Camry gets revamped for 2007, with a new 272-bhp 3.5L V-6 and a 6-speed automatic. Lexus claims 0-60 mph in 6.8 seconds. The ES350 trades the awkward, bulbous appearance of its predecessor for a leaner, sportier look. New features include adaptive front headlights that swivel to illuminate curves, heated/ventilated front seats, and an optional Mark Levinson 7.1-channel audio system. Enhancements such as 10 airbags, Vehicle Stability Control, and a rear view camera should please safety-conscious buyers. Lexus views the IS and ES as an entry-level duo. The IS appeals to the customers with sportier tastes, while the ES is there for attainable luxury.

What Changed:

The upscale cousin of the Toyota Camry is all-new for 2007. The FWD ES350 is powered by a new 272 hp, 3.5L V6. A six-speed automatic is the only offered transmission. The wheelbase and track have increased by 2 inches, but the new model is otherwise almost identical to its predecessor in size.
