The entry-level Hyundai
Overview Information
With a starting price of around $11k, the Accent hatchback is Hyundai's entry-level model. With a 110 hp, 1.6L four-cylinder engine, the small 3-door hatchback boasts fuel economy numbers of 32MPG city for the base model. With such a low starting price, options add up quickly. A preferred option package adds power windows, air conditioning and other nice features but boosts the MSRP over $13k with an automatic. The SE model makes a more compelling upgrade offering four-wheel disc brakes, alloy wheels, V-rated tires and standard power equipment for around $14k.
What Changed:
The entry-level Hyundai is all-new for 2007. The new model is shorter in overall length than the previous model, but rides on a longer wheelbase and track increasing interior room. A 1.6L four-cylinder is the only available engine. A five-speed manual is standard with a four-speed automatic optional. The higher SE trim level adds alloy wheels, four-wheel disc brakes, ABS and performance tires.
