By virtue of GM's new fleet of full-sized truck vehicles, every full-sized truck vehicle that GMC makes has been thoroughly re-worked and restyled. The 2007 Yukon and Yukon XL wear new sheet metal and boast new interiors that illustrate how crude their predecessors were.

All Sierra pickup trucks have been restyled and re-engineered for 2007. The new styling is cleaner and more clearly differentiated from that of the Chevrolet Silverado. In addition to a myriad of cab, powertrain, and bed choices, the new Sierra also features two significantly different interiors based on trim level. Re-engineered powertrain offerings across the full-size truck and SUV line extend the reach of cylinder deactivation and flexible fuel technologies. The previous generation Sierra will be sold alongside the new trucks as "Sierra Classic".

If it were not for the complete revamp of GMC's truck lineup, the introduction of the new GMC Acadia would be big news. In sharp contrast to the rest of GMC's lineup the Acadia is a unibody crossover vehicle featuring 3 rows of seating.

The long wheelbase Envoy XL has been dropped from the lineup.
