The A6 represents a healthy blend of luxury, performance, and the practicality of AWD. The A6 features either a 255 bhp V6 or a 335 bhp V8. Although a FWD model is offered, most buyers should opt for the superb quattro AWD models. On the interior, you will find that the MMI system from Audi's flagship A8 appears as standard equipment. The exterior styling features a familiar roofline with a more substantial looking lower-body and the Audi family grille. The ultimate A6 is the S6 performance sedan. The S6 features a 435 bhp V10 and six-speed automatic. To get that power to the road, S6 is equipped with 265/35R19 tires and all-wheel-drive. Exterior upgrades on the S6 are minor -- few will suspect what lies under the hood.

What Changed:

Audi continues to roll out hot S-series sports sedans. The latest in the lineup is the V-10 powered S6 Sedan. Although the 5.2L V-10 is shared with the S8 sedan, in the S6 the engine makes slightly less horsepower. This horsepower injection should make the S6 a truly fast sports sedan, and more competitive with the BMW 545i or the Mercedes-Benz E55.
