The GX3 is a unique concept car from Volkswagen. It has two wheels in front, and a rear drive assembly like that of a motorcycle. A 1.6L four-cylinder, transverse-mounted engine drives the rear wheel with a chain. Although the engine only produces 125 hp, the low curb weight of 1257 lbs would allow top performance for the sole passenger of the vehicle. Low-slung performance, open-air motoring and motorcycle-like fuel economy numbers translate into a specialty vehicle that could be a blast to drive. The new leadership of Volkswagen envisions a company that produces unique transportation solutions. Who knows? The GX3 just might see the light of day.
