The Scion brand was initially criticized for it's lineup of oddly styled vehicles. The criticism proved unfounded as Scion has enjoyed strong sales since launch. The success of the brand has Japanese competitors Nissan and Honda looking in their global portfolios for entry-level sub-compacts for an answer.
