To woo younger buyers, Saab gets a copy of the Subaru Impreza wagon for sale as the 9-2X. The 9-2X 2.5i is powered by a 173-bhp flat-4, whereas the 9-2X Aero gets the turbocharged 2.5L 230-bhp engine, shared with the Impreza WRX. Transmission choices are a standard 5-speed manual, or optional 4-speed automatic. Enthusiasts will prefer the manual, which is better suited for the turbo motor in the 9-2X Aero. Unlike other Saab cars, all 9-2X models have AWD for improved traction and handling.
