What Changed:
The 2006 RX-8 adopts a 6-speed automatic transmission with paddle type shift inputs. SAE horsepower ratings place the automatic model at 212hp and the manual transmission model at 232 hp. A limited edition (1500 copies) SHINKA model is offered.
