Saturn finally gets a new product that might well suit its clienele. GM is hoping to draw family oriented buyers with its crossover sport van which combines SUV styling with a minivan. While the appearance is reminiscent of an suv, it maintains the cargo flexibility, low step in, safety, and fuel economy associated with minivans. The RELAY has a 200 hp 3500 V6, a 4-speed automatic, 4-wheel disc brakes. Versatrak AWD and stability control are optional.
New RELAY adds a minivan to the Saturn lineup. The RELAY is a mid-sized van with SUV styling traits to broaden its appeal. A 200 hp 3500 V6 provides power. Both FWD and AWD models are offered.
"The RELAY is the next logical step in Saturn's growth. The Saturn brand promises of safety and value fit naturally with what customers are looking for in the mid-van segment. It will appeal particularly to those customers who need the versatility of a mid-van but have a strong preference for SUV styling." -- Jill Lajdziak, Saturn vice president for sales, service and marketing.
