Overview Information

Open top cruising in now available in the PT Cruiser. A hoop-like body stiffener remain erect when the convertible top is down. The unique design of the convertible allows for some nice features like pass-through cargo storage, foldable rear seats and interior dome lighting. Like the hardtop, the convertible is available in Standard, Touring and GT trim levels. The base engine is a 150hp I-4, with an optional 180hp turbocharged version. The top-line GT features a 220hp turbocharged engine with either a 4-speed automatic or 5-speed manual.

What Changed:

All-new 2-door convertible version of the PT Cruiser. Fold down-rear seats with pass-through storage retain some of the versatility of the hardtop model. Engine choices mirror the hardtop and include the 150hp 4-cylinder, the 180hp turbo 4 and the 220hp high-output turbo 4.

Official Word:

"There's only one way to top the original Chrysler PT Cruiser sedan, and that's by losing the top. We consider the new PT Cruiser Convertible the ultimate factory-backed customization of the ultimate segment-buster and see it as an opportunity to expand on the original PT Cruiser frenzy." -- Jeff Bell, Vice-President-Chrysler/Jeep® Marketing
