Chevrolet will replace its aged Cavalier with two models. The entry level "budget" Aveo and the more-upscale "premium" Cobalt. Cobalt coupe comes in base, LS, LT, and SS supercharged flavors. The base, LS and LT models are equipped with a 140hp, 2.2L 4-cylinder and either a 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic and 15-inch wheels. The SS Supercharged model offers a 205hp 2.0L supercharged engine, 5-speed manual and P215/45R18 performance tires.

What Changed:

All-new model based on GM's Delta platform. A 205hp SS Supercharged model is aimed at the tuner crowd. Other Cobalt coupes are powered by a 140hp 2.2L 4-cylinder.
