Overview Information
The Ranier is Buick's first true body on frame SUV offering. Ranier's rides on GM's ubiquitous short wheelbase GMT360 platform which is shared with the Trailblazer, Envoy, Isuzu Ascender, and Saab 9-7X. Extra attention has been paid to making the ride quiet. Available in both rear-wheel and all-wheel drive, the Ranier's standard powerplant is the 275 hp I6 engine. An optional 290 hp V8 is a somewhat unique offering for the GM SUV's. This design is intended for on-road capability only.
What Changed:
The 290hp Vortec 5300 is now available on RWD and AWD models. Minor interior trim piece upgrades.
