The uniquely styled Beetle is available with a 115-bhp/2.0L I-4, 150-bhp/1.8L turbo I-4, or 90-bhp/1.9L turbodiesel. Transmission choices are: 5-speed manual or 4-speed automatic (optional). Options include: 17-inch wheels, leather seats, traction control (ASR), Electronic Differential Lock (EDL), & Monsoon CD-changer audio system.

What Changed:

The latest Beetle is the performance oriented Turbo S. A 180-bhp/1.8L I-4 Turbo is coupled to a 6-speed manual. Other features unique to the Turbo S include stainless steel pedals, brushed stainless interior trim, & 17-inch alloy wheels. ESP (Electronic Stability Control) is standard. The Beetle Turbo S goes on sale in January 2002.
