Overview Information

The Q45 has always been in the shadow of the Lexus LS400/430. For 2002, Infiniti introduces a no excuses Q45. For starters, the new 4.5L V8 produces 340 bhp, a healthy increase over the 266 bhp from the 4.1L V8 in the current model. Optional 18-inch wheels with P245/45ZR18 tires continue the performance emphasis. All these upgrades add up to a claimed 0-60 mph in 5.9 seconds. Will this thorough redesign of Infiniti's flagship become a market success? We will have to wait until April 2001, when the 2002 Q45 is launched in the US.

Official Word:

This Q, like the very first Q45 when it was introduced a decade ago, is a powerful expression of everything we've learned so far. It's guaranteed to make the industry and driving enthusiasts alike sit up and take notice.
