The Trailblazer is a brand-new SUV from Chevy, slotted between the Blazer and Tahoe. Faced with formidable competition from the Ford Explorer, Jeep Grand Cherokee, and Dodge Durango, Chevrolet met them head-on. The new, larger, Trailblazer offers an all-new 4.2L DOHC inline-six with 270-bhp/275 lb.-ft. Dual front and side airbags improve occupant protection. A 5-link rear suspension provides better axle control. An all-new stiffer chassis offers better ride and handling. Wind noise has been reduced to carlike levels due to improved body sealing. The new Trailblazer is truly a leap forward for Chevy, as it seeks to become a leader in the midsize SUV market.
