Acura plans to unveil a new compact SUV, called RD-X, at the 2002 NAIAS (Detroit). The AWD RD-X incorporates a hybrid powertrain that includes an electric motor (Integrated Motor Assist). The rear cargo area has sliding doors and a hidden, secure compartment. A glass roof improves visibility. The RD-X also features run-flat tires.
