2001 Ford Forty Nine concept

The Forty Nine is a nostalgic look into the glorious past of Ford Motor Company. The highly customized low-rider styling is visually stunning. An all-glass roof improves visibility. 20-inch chrome plated wheels add extra flash to the exterior. Dual HID headlights are complemented by slim rear LED taillights. The Forty Nine is built on the DEW98 platform shared with the 2002 Thunderbird. A 3.9L DOHC V-8 drives the rear wheels via a 5-speed automatic. The two-tone leather interior is a black/sienna combination. A tachometer and speedometer are centrally mounted in a circular pod. The rear view mirror is mounted on a vertical "spine" that runs along the windshield. Unlike the Thunderbird, no production plans were announced.
